Camping Fee Discount for Alberta Seniors

Starting May 1, 2025, Alberta Parks is introducing a camping fee discount to make it more affordable for seniors to experience Alberta’s natural beauty. Alberta residents who are 65 or older at time of purchase can receive 25% off camping fees at select campgrounds. These include over 140 front country campgrounds including individual, walk-in, and equestrian campsites. By targeting the discount at hidden gem campgrounds, we are encouraging affordable enjoyment of recreation opportunities across Alberta without increasing pressure at parks that usually have full capacity.

The discount can be applied to select campsite bookings beginning on January 31, 2025, for May 1 arrivals and onwards. First-come, first-served arrivals will also have access to the discount May 1 and onwards at participating campgrounds.

The discount applies to the camping fee and to fees for additional services, such as power, sewer, or water hook-ups, when included in the camping fee.
