Details:The Rock Lake Access Road is subject to sudden flooding during the spring and summer due to rising water on the Wildhay River. Please proceed with caution into the park, especially after heavy precipitation or snow melt from the mountains.
Alberta Parks is monitoring the road; however, river levels can change rapidly.
This large campground is found in Rock Lake Provincial Park. It is 7 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16, 40 km northwest on Hwy. 40 and 35 km west on a gravel access road. Here there are a variety of well-spaced sites with trees for privacy. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of Alberta's Northern Rockies while fishing, boating, mountain biking or hiking. Staging areas for the Wildland and Willmore Wilderness Park are accessible here, including hitching rails and corrals for equestrian users.

There are four large equestrian sites with corrals and 14 smaller equestrian sites with 1 corral, tie stalls and pens.
