Directions to Campground

Big Berland Campground is located in Big Berland Provincial Recreation Area, 70 km northwest of Hinton and 70 km south of Grande Cache on Hwy. 40. The campground is in a mature spruce forest and situated along the Berland River with a few sites backing onto the river. There is nearby access to an equestrian staging area into the Willmore Wilderness Park, and anglers can enjoy fishing in the Berland River.

    • Access to Willmore Wilderness park and staging area for horses is down the road past the campground.
    • Firewood is not available at this campground. ¬†Firewood is available at Pierre Grey's Lakes Campground Booth for $8.00/bag, during peak season.

    Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.
