Thompson Creek Campground is found in Thompson Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 83 km southwest of Nordegg on Hwy. 11. This picturesque recreation area is on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. There are over 50 well-treed sites, suitable for RVs and tents. A trail leads to scenic views of the river valley.

This is a first-come, first-served campground. All sites, and additional units, where permitted, are payable on-site by cash or cheque only.

*This campground does not have cell phone coverage, or debit services available.

Amenities

First Come, First Serve.
Firewood

Firewood is no longer included in the nightly fee.  It can be purchased on site for $10.00/12 pieces.

Water

Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this provincial campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
