This prairie gem is in Lake McGregor Provincial Recreation Area, 20 km north of Vulcan on Hwy. 23 and 25 km east on Hwy. 542. There are about 100 sites suitable for RVs and tents. Camp on the prairies near the lakeside where you can escape the summer heat. Sailing, wind surfing, water skiing, canoeing and fishing are popular activities. Watch for the many kinds of birds including beautiful white pelicans that take advantage of this prairie oasis.

You are expected to bring your own potable drinking water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like the one located here NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes). Water from the pump/tap onsite can only be used for purposes like putting out a campfire.
