A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

This equestrian campground is found in Strawberry Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km southwest of Longview on Hwy. 40. On the banks of the crystal clear Highwood River, this campground offers spacious sites with equestrian users in mind. There are hitching posts and loading ramps in the campground, and easy access to trails in the vicinity.

Equestrian campgrounds are intended for campers bringing a horse. Please only book at an equestrian campground if you are using it for equestrian purposes as there are only a few campgrounds available to these users.

Water

Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water or filter/treat water retrieved from the natural source.
