Bear Warning - Kananaskis Lakes Trail and Surrounding Area Bear Closure - Peter Lougheed Paved Bicycle Path

Mount Sarrail Walk-in Tenting Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. There are over 40 well-treed walk-in tenting sites here (no RVs). From here there is close access to the lakes for those hoping to canoe, fish or go boating. There are also many hiking, mountain biking and paved trails nearby.

Limited number of bear-proof food storage lockers; on-site manager & caretaker. Visa & MasterCard accepted.

Firewood

Firewood available for purchase on site from the campground manager or at Boulton Creek campground store.

Water

Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.
