Due to the remote nature of these campgrounds, cleaning and sanitizing of shared surfaces is infrequent and users should be ready to sanitize high-touch surfaces upon their arrival. Be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Note that cleaning supplies may be wildlife attractants, and should be stored in your food locker and away from your tent. When campgrounds are open and where it is feasible, outhouses will be open. Please help to limit the spread of COVID-19 by maintaining physical distancing from other campers.

The most direct access to Turbine Canyon Backcountry Campground in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, is via North Interlakes Day Use. The backcountry campground is located 15.1 km from the trailhead via the Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit, Three Isle Lake and Maude-Lawson Trails and the elevation gain totals 525 metres.  Enjoy beautiful mountain views, streams and meadows on the way to this scenic location. Tent sites are nestled in the forest north of Maude Brook. There are pit/vault toilets and secure food storage lockers but no fires permitted.
