Strachan Campground

Strachan Campground is found in Strachan Provincial Recreation Area, 31 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 752. There are over 25 well-treed sites, with a few choice sites next to Prairie Creek. Fish for trout or mountain whitefish in the creek, or explore nearby OHV trails. Please keep OHVs on trailers in the recreation area.

        Firewood  This is an unserviced campground. Please remember to bring your own firewood to enjoy your stay.

        Water  Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this provincial campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
