Thunder Lake Campground is found in Thunder Lake Provincial Park, 21 km west of Barrhead on Hwy. 18. This large campground has over 125 sites, both unserviced and powered. They are well-treed and suited to RVs and tents. There are many amenities and activities here, including a beach, playground, boat launch, and trails.

Campground is adjacent to the Barrhead gun range.

  • Portable (drinking) water availability is limited in the park.
    • Showers are closed, flush toilets are open.
    • Sinks in washroom building are non-potable (not consumable).
    • Fill station at the sani-dump is non-potable.  Please fill trailer fresh water tanks before arriving.
    • Check signs on water taps through out park before consuming.
