Officially named Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, this park supports a variety of outdoor recreation activities, as well as grazing and Indigenous and seasonal hunting.

Details:Garter snakes have begun their seasonal migration. Please watch for snakes on roadways.
Islet Lake Staging Area trails can be accessed from the Central Staging Area using Moose Link Trail. It's named for unusual moose antlers found along the route (on display at the Friends of Blackfoot Heritage Interpretive Centre).
