Officially named Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, this park supports a variety of outdoor recreation activities, as well as grazing and Indigenous and seasonal hunting.

This trail is named for one of the area’s bird species, the Ruffed grouse. It connects a series of trail loops between Waskehegan and Islet Lake Staging areas.
