Faraway East

Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself at the Canadian Red Cross.

This trail is separated (east and west) by the staging area access road.  This east section follows the boundary fence past a number of small lakes and eventually ends up at the secluded Faraway rest shelter.

Closed to equestrian use between December 1 and April 1 annually.

Warning

Some gates along the east fence line maybe locked when cattle are grazing in the fields. Use caution while travelling in this fields. 

Grass is long in certain locations along the east fence line. 

Please note: The stove inside Faraway Shelter is currently unavailable. The outside firepit is still accessible.
