Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area

Officially named Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, this park supports a variety of outdoor recreation activities, as well as grazing and Indigenous and seasonal hunting.

 

 


This trail is separated (east and west) by the staging area access road. This east section follows the boundary fence past a number of small lakes and eventually ends up at the secluded Faraway rest shelter.


Closed to equestrian use between December 1 and April 1 annually.
