This is a strenuous hike past canyons and waterfalls with great views. A backcountry permit is required to camp at Lillian Lake Backcountry Campground. Lillian Lake is nestled in trees; Upper Galatea Lake is in a spectacular alpine cirque.
Annual Seasonal Closure: May 1 - late June to allow area to dry and prevent damage
