This trail was a former fire road that runs towards Evan-Thomas Pass, though damaged in the 2013 flood beyond the maintained portion. It also accesses the Green Monster ice-fall in the winter. The trail is only maintained to the former crossing of Evan-Thomas creek 2 km from the parking lot. A bridge no longer exists and caution is required when crossing the ice in early winter.
