Evan-Thomas Fire Road (Winter)

MENU
A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.
Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

This trail was a former fire road and the portion between the day use area and Wedge Connector trail is often groomed for cross-country skiing. Trail is double trackset in the winter. There is high foot traffic on this trail as it is used to access a popular ice climbing area and to view the frozen falls in the winter upstream Evan Thomas Creek. All non-skiers are asked to stay off set tracks.

    .
Warning

Trail is shared with hikers. Hikers please respect track set for cross-country skiing and do not walk on track.
