A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

    From Kananaskis Village, this more difficult trail climbs through mixed forest to a nice viewpoint, before descending again and travelling through open meadows and mixed forest culminating with a view over Ribbon Creek Valley.

    Warning / Event

    A bridge 0.5 km south of Mt Allen drive was damaged by an ice flow event this winter and will need to be replaced. Users will have to detour 2km on hwy 40 from the Kananaskis River bridge to the water treatment plant access road between May 12th to 14th while the bridge is out.

    Some ice is still present in this area.
