A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley. Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

The Canmore Crux Gravel Bike Event, scheduled to return on Sunday June 2nd, 2024. Join us for a day of adventure set in the majestic Canadian Rockies. This year, we are pleased to announce two distinct race distances designed to accommodate cyclists of all abilities: an 80 km course for those in pursuit of an endurance challenge, and a 32 km route ideal for participants eager to experience the excitement of gravel racing in a more concise format.

Date: Sunday, June 02, 2024.
Timeline of events: 

6:00AM - Finish line area set up 
7:15AM - 8:30AM - Package Pick Up on Site by the finish line. 
8:50AM - Bear Spray Safety Talk (Provided by Wildsmart) 
9:00AM - Event Mass Start (Long Course, 5 loops)
9:10AM – Event Mass Start (Lite Course, 2 loops)
12:00PM - First Finisher expected at finish line
2:30PM - Final Finisher expected at finish line
3:00PM - Finish line area removed/ event clean up 
4:00PM - Course Sweep takes place

 

Facilities in use:
-Cross-Country Stadium
-Double track ski trails (Centennial, Olympic, Meadowview, Silvertip, Banff Natural, Bow, Lower Grey Wolf, Coyote)
