  • - Is permitted in designated day-use picnic sites only between the hours of 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • - In any public place other than a registered campsite or a designated day-use area picnic site remains illegal.

    Castle Tree Cutting Permits are issued by Alberta Environment and Parks staff, Mon - Fri from 8:15 to 4:30. (offices are closed from 12 to 1 p.m.). Tree cutting is not permitted within the Syncline Trail Network or within 100 meters of a waterbody anywhere in Castle Provincial Park.

    • Equestrian, Mountain Biking, Hiking - May 1 - November 30.
    • Nordic Skiing, Snowshoeing, Hiking - December 1 - April 30.

    • The vault toilet is universally accessible.  
    • You are expected to bring your own drinking water year-round.  
    • No Motorized Vehicles.
