  Ice Fishing

  • Permitted activities may vary within a park. Please confirm details with park staff.
  • Notes

      • Please see Recreation Note re: winter access.
      • This day use area has a parking area and is a popular access for ice fishing.
      • You are expected to bring your own drinking water year-round.  In winter, no water is available.  In summer, water from pumps or taps in the area may be used ONLY for purposes like putting out a campfire. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like those in the area NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes).
      • Access: In winter, Beaver Mines Lake Campground is open for non-motorized day use but closed to motor vehicle access beyond the park entrance. For access to Beaver Mines Lake, please park in any of the three day use areas that are open year-round. Road conditions in the park are unpredictable and plowing is dependent on conditions.
