Rockies 24 - 24 Hour Mountain Bike Race
The 24-hour race categories are:
-Solo Racers
-Teams of 4-5
-Teams of 2
-Or Corporate teams of 6-10
Course length: 13.4 km 186m of elevation per lap
Aid stations: 1 aid station mid way on course stocked with sports drink and energy bars

Friday: 9:00AM-9:00PM
Saturday: 06:30AM-9:00PM
Sunday: 06:30AM-5:30PM
Washrooms will remain accessible for 24 hours in the Cross-Country and Biathlon Team Rooms. Washrooms and shower facilities will remain accessible for 24 hours in the Wax Room Building. Showers take 2x $1.00 coins for approx. 6 mins.
Parking & Camping
Parking and camping will be available in the designated areas as assigned by registration. The Canmore Nordic Centre will remain open to other users throughout the event. Obey all volunteer to ensure access for emergency vehicles and other park users.
Camping in Bear Country at Rockies 24
Rockies 24 is held at the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park (CNCPP) home to an abundance of wildlife including both Grizzly and Black Bears. Camping is not a regular occurrence at the CNCPP however, special permissions have been given for Rockies 24 to allow for camping. In order for camping to be a success, we ask all participants and campers to be mindful over the course of the weekend adhering to the following rules:
-Leave your campsite clean and tidy.
-Do not leave wildlife attractants unattended.
-All wildlife attractants are to be secured in hard sided trailers or, fully enclosed hard top vehicles overnight or, when no occupants are physically at the site.
-Wildlife attractants include coolers, food, garbage, liquids (other than water), toiletries and any item that has a scent or, odor. Unattended wildlife attractants will be removed from the site.
-Report Bear, Cougar and Problem Wildlife Sightings immediately to Kananaskis Emergency Services (KES) 403-591-7755. Please also report to the Event Organizer.
-Pets must be on a leash and supervised at all times.
-All campsites are un-serviced. There are no RV Sani-dumps on site.
-There is no formal grey water disposal. All grey water must be disposed of in Porta Potty Units. Do not dispose of grey water or, wash dishes inside of the Day Lodge or, Wax Room facilities.
-Leave no trace. Please use garbage & recycle receptacles across the site.
-Shower facilities are located inside of the Day Lodge and Wax Room Building.
Parking Pass (Event)
Only one vehicle is allowed onsite at any time for solo racers, two person and 4-5 person teams. Corporate teams are allowed 2 vehicles onsite. This includes set-up and tear-down times. An event pass system will be implemented to ensure vehicle restrictions are adhered to. This policy will hopefully alleviate parking congestion. Team vehicles to park in Parking Lot #5.
