Alberta Parks

Park Explorers

Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

Let's explore and play in parks! Learning to become friends with nature, students will be given tools to be good stewards of the environment through nature immersion and lessons on:

  • Interacting with the natural world around them
  • How animals survive, &
  • Turning their experiences into a story to tell others

During this program the students get to experience a period of time with unstructured play in nature. This is to achieve greater connections, confidence in exploration and resect for the environment. Children will freely explore what nature has to offer at their own speed and comfort level.
