Alberta Parks

Old Baldy

Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

It is smooth and flowy with amazing views of the lake and town site of Elkwater. The entrance to this trail is not very well marked and is located about 100 meters up the trail on Horseshoe Canyon Trail.

It's a side loop that will take you around a straight and boring climbing section at the bottom of Horseshoe Canyon Trail when ridden east to west.

When ridden west to east, it is a very fun, fast, and flow trail back down to the campground.
