This trail can be accessed adjacent to the Park Administration Office. It continues across the road from the east end of the Soggy Bottom Trail and extends to Highway 41 where you can access the Spruce Coulee Trail. There are a few beaver dams in the creak beside the trail.

The west end of the sunset trail is paved until you cross Lakeview drive, after that everything heading east in gravel.
