This system of trails offers excellent variety for the novice skier. There are warm-up shelters at Willow Creek group use area and at the trailhead. The trail system is accessible via Murray Hill Road (1 km west of Hwy. 41 about 7 km south of Elkwater Lake.

The outer loop of the Spring Creek Trail system was groomed and trackset for classic skiing. Conditions are fair. Skate skiing is not recommended as the outer portion of the skate lane was not regroomed so it will be very hard and icy.
