Details:Please be advised that FireSmart vegetation management work is being completed in and around the Elkwater townsite as part of ongoing efforts to manage vegetation for public safety, wildfire mitigation, infrastructure maintenance, and ecological health. This is a continuation of work from earlier in 2025. No work or tree removal will be completed on leased lots. This work will only take place on park property, including:
What to Expect: Residents and visitors may observe heavy equipment operating within the park. There will be increased noise levels during this work, and temporary closures of certain areas may be necessary for safety. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these essential projects are completed.

Details:Water services to campgrounds, standpipes, flush toilets, and showers have been turned off for the season.
The Sani-dump station will be shut off October 10, 2025.
Year-round water, flush toilets, and showers are available at the Lakeview Shower House, located at the entrance to Lakeview Campground.
Water to campgrounds, standpipes, flush toilets, and showers is not guaranteed or charged between September 14, 2025, and June 1, 2026.
This system of trails offers excellent variety for the novice skier. There are warm-up shelters at Willow Creek group use area and at the trailhead. The trail system is accessible via Murray Hill Road (1 km west of Hwy. 41 about 7 km south of Elkwater Lake.

The Spring Creek Trails including the Golf Course Road were packed and groomed today. Tracksetting was NOT completed due to an insufficient snow base. Conditions should be considered poor to fair with many thin spots and lots of small branches and needles on the trails. There are also a number of bare spots, including a large one on the road leading into the equestrian campground. The base is very thin and there is ice under the newly packed snow. Caution is recommended. Please avoid the Willow Creek Road as there are forestry crews and heavy equipment working in the area. The Murray Hill Road, from the Spring Creek Trailhead to the intersection with the Ferguson Hill Road, and the Ferguson Hill Road will remain closed for the 2025/2026 ski season due to Forestry Contractors working in the area. Please respect all closure notices and signage in those areas. Use caution on all trails as natural hazards exist throughout.
