Details:Construction of the Bow Valley Fireguard will be starting within Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. This work will involve mechanical tree removal and forest thinning with log hauling though Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. To ensure the safety of visitors around work areas and haul roads, some of the upper trails will be closed.

Details:A section of the Spray Lakes Rd/Hwy 742/Smith-Dorrien on the Canmore Hill is closed in both directions from the Grassi Lakes Parking lot to Goat Creek due to a Rockslide. Crews are on scene.
Update: June 5, 2026: The Canmore hill will remain closed due to rock fall hazard. No estimated time of re-opening. Area is closed for all foot and vehicle traffic.

Details:Heavy rain is expected in the Bow Valley area, and river levels are already high, with some areas experiencing flooding along the Bow River. Visitors should be aware that flooding may occur and use extreme caution. Backcountry users need to be aware that rising water levels could impact navigation. Continue to check for updates to Advisories and local weather reports before heading out.
