April 24th: The winter season 2023-24 has officially come to an end, and the last grooming of the cross-country ski trails took place yesterday morning. An additional occasional grooming might take place only if conditions allow for it, as the safety of our visitors and the grooming/trail crew is a priority.

It was a challenging winter, with variable conditions, weather extremes, two World Cups hosted and memorable experiences. We thank all visitors for an amazing season and cannot wait to welcome you on the snow again in October.

Public Wax Rooms are currently located in Wax Building (Room #1).

It's spring time! That also means that animals are out and we encourage visitors to carry bear spray, make noise, and report any carnivore sightings (bears, wolves, cougars) to KES.

Please report any carnivore sightings (including bears) to Kananaskis Emergency Services by calling (403) 591-7755. We recommend carrying Bear Spray year-round. For all emergencies on trail please dial 9-1-1 & report that you're in Kananaskis Country at the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park.

E-Bikes are not permitted on any trails in our trail system (apart from Legacy Trail).

Please Do Not Litter (cigarette butts, poop bags and banana peels or apple cores are littering) and help us to keep this site free of garbage. Improper disposal of garbage and waste has the potential to draw wildlife and can force area closures.

Practice leave no trace and pack out what you bring in. If a bear-proof garbage bin is FULL, please take your garbage home or use another bin.
