Notes

    • Lamont County as placed a 50% weight restriction on the road.  Smaller passenger vehicles are permitted, however trucks hauling horse trailers are not permitted on RGE RD 195.  Equestrian trails can be accessed from Waskehegan or Central Staging Areas.
    • Walkers can enjoy many kilometers of trails starting from the Central, Blackfoot and Islet Lake staging areas in winter.
    • Blackfoot Lake staging area is only 25 minutes east od Edmonton off HWY 16, just after the Ukrainian heritage village
    • Check out the trail report here to see what activities can be done on which trail in winter.
    • You can walk on any trail that doesn’t have two sets of ski tracks set on it! These tracks take a long time to get right, and staff work long hours to ensure the tracks are of high quality.
    • Skiers only have access have to these trails for a few months of the year, so please share the trails.
    • There is no potable water available at this site. Please bring your own.
