Where: Castle Provincial Park

Details: Please be advised that annual cattle round-up activities will be taking place throughout the Castle Park  beginning October 5 and continuing for approximately two weeks. Expect increased cattle, horseback riders, ATVs, and support vehicles on roads and throughout the park. Temporary reduced speed zones and warning signage will be in place. Please use caution, follow posted signage, and be prepared for occasional delays while cattle are being moved. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Where: Castle Provincial Park , Designated Camping Area 3 Campground

Details: Designated Camping Area 3B (Wolfberry) will have a partial closure from May 1 to August 31, 2026. The upper loop of the camping area will be closed for any recreation activities while the lower sites remain open.
  • Access to the bathroom is still available. 
  • Please follow all posted signs and fence barriers.

Directions

Surrounded by mixed forest, this Group Use Area offers campers powered sites, an outhouse, a cook shelter complete with picnic tables, a small wood-fired stove, lights, and power outlets. Campers can enjoy connecting around the group fire pit located at the center of the loop. Sites allow plenty of room for RVs, trailers, or tents. From family gatherings to work retreats, this central base is a perfect place for a large group gathering.
