A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

    Notes:

    • Be aware of avalanche conditions. Current conditions can be found at Avalanche Canada.
    • Dogs are permitted on Sandy McNabb ski trails. Dogs must be on-leash within the Provincial Park and Wildland Provincial Park.
    • Practice wildlife safety. Travel in groups, make noise on the trail, and keep pets on leash. Carrying bear spray and knowing how to use it is highly recommended, even in winter.
    • It's tick season! Make sure to check you and your pets when you get home. For best protection, use a bug repellent with DEET.
    • Caution is advised for natural hazards such as downed trees. Please report any downed trees on the trails.
    • Equestrians are not permitted on groomed ski trails. Snowshoers please keep to the side of groomed ski trails.
    • Please note that many official summer hiking trails are not maintained in the winter.
    • Potable water at the Sheep Ranger Admin RV Dump-station will not be available to the public until further notice
