Purchasing a biathlon range pass allows you to access the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park Biathlon Range as well as the Ruedi Setz Memorial Range (located at Mt. Shark in Spray Valley Provincial Park). The pass holder must be under the supervision of a Canmore Nordic Centre Range Safety Officer at all times while using either biathlon range. An additional permit is required for the Ruedi Setz Memorial Range.
Range lanes can only be booked by certified Canmore Nordic Centre Range Safety Officers. To submit a request to book lanes please email cnc.biathlon@gov.ab.ca.
NOTE: The CNCPP administration team will process passes 48 hours after the time of purchase. Passes can be picked up any time after the 48 hour period (business hours are 9 am - 5 pm).
Pick up your annual pass at the Canmore Nordic Centre Day Lodge. Bring a piece of photo ID that shows your date of birth and either a printed copy of your receipt or display the confirmation email on your smartphone.
If your first practice occurs after hours, a coach or club parent may pick up the biathlon range pass provided that the Biathlon Range Agreement has been signed and emailed to the Canmore Nordic Centre. If we do not have a signed copy of the Biathlon Range Agreement at the time of pickup, we will not issue the pass and you will not be permitted to use the biathlon range.
The annual biathlon range pass purchased is not valid unless the Canmore Nordic Centre receive a copy of the signed Biathlon Range Agreement, either in person or electronically.
All range use must be booked in advance with the Canmore Nordic Centre by a Range Safety Officer. All range users must be under the supervision of an approved Range Safety Officer. To use the Ruedi Setz Memorial Range, a Canmore Nordic Centre Range Safety Officer must request a Letter of Authorization and Firearms Discharge Permit at least 48 hours in advance.
To submit a request or for additional information please email cnc.biathlon@gov.ab.ca.
