The Day Use Area of Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is found near the Park Centre. There are several amenities including a picnic shelter, picnic tables and fire pits, and sport fields. In the summer months bring equipment to play beach volleyball, basketball, or pickleball, or borrow equipment from the Park Centre.
A short walk will take you down toward the beach where you will find additional green space, tables, a playground, a large washroom facility and change room, and a beach. Although the lake is no longer suitable for swimming, you can enjoy playing in the sand and rinsing off in the change room building.
The Day Use Area will connect you with the trail system, including the Shoreline Path, and the backcountry trails. The Backcountry Trailhead also has a parking area and baseball pitch.
In the winter, the Day Use Area will connect you with ploughed trails for walking, or snow trails for either cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Also check out our winter Day Use Area for a skating/hockey rink, and crockicurl! Read more about our Winter Activities here.
