Flood recovery is ongoing in Kananaskis. Some trails, day use areas and backcountry campgrounds are impacted. Check Advisories before you travel.
Group B is in an isolated location, away from the other overnight sites. The shelter is in the middle of a large green space with campsites around the edge of the clearing. Lots of privacy as thick forest surrounds the Group Camping Area. Take a 10-minute walk to Little McLeod Lake or a 30-minute walk to McLeod Lake along the backcountry trails. The shelter is a great spot to gather, eat and recreate, with a fireplace inside and large doors that allow picnic tables to be moved inside or outside. It is equipped with power via generator hook-up (bring your own generator). An outhouse is located here.
This group area does not have a water tap or water pump. Please bring your own water or fill up at the potable tap in the sani-dump area.
