Details: Visitors are reminded to keep an attractant free site when visiting the park to reduce the risk of bear encounters.

Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

Make plenty of noise and travel in groups.
Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs.
Keep your pet on a leash.
Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible and know how to use it.
Secure attractants like food, garbage, pet food and any scented items in hard sided vehicles or bear proof lockers.

Details: The water system was shut down as of September 14. The shower houses, campground water taps, and the sani-dump station are not available. Please bring your own water.

Directions

Group A has individual unserviced sites nestled in the forest along a loop road. A clearing in the middle of the loop offers an open grassy area for sports, including a volleyball net and a rustic basketball hoop. The shelter is a great spot to gather, eat and recreate, with a fireplace inside and large doors that allow picnic tables to be moved inside or outside. Trails from the group area connect to the main campground and the backcountry hiking/biking loop. There are two outhouses and water taps located here.
