Natural Region Description

Kinbrook Island Provincial Park includes islands in Lake Newell that are nesting sites for double crested cormorants and white pelicans. Wetlands near the campground provide excellent bird watching and an interpretive marsh trail introduces visitors to the area's abundant bird species. The park's lakeshore provides welcome relief on hot prairie days; trees and bushes create shady & private campsites. Kinbrook is conveniently located for day trips to Dinosaur Provincial Park, which is only a 45-minute drive to the northeast.
