    Our instructors are trained and certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). We provide a safe learning environment while offering our students the opportunity to improve sport specific skills through a specific progression.

    Please book weekend lessons in advance by calling 403-893-3961. Lessons are subject to instructor availability. Walk-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed. Public group and private lessons will be available Wednesday to Friday by walk-in only because of  limited instructor availability due to hosting school groups. On Saturday and Sunday, we will have lessons available all day.

    Public Group Lesson

    Group Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their skills. Each 1-Hour lesson focuses on fun, skill development, and quality instruction, ensuring you make the most of your time on the slopes.

    Lil' Gliders

    This 1-hour private lesson is designed just for the smaller skiers and riders in your family. With one-on-one attention and guidance, it is a perfect introductory lesson and a great way for your child to start exploring our beginner area.

    If you are looking for more one-on-one instruction, then our 1-Hour Private Lessons are for you. These lessons offer dedicated instructor-student interaction, allowing our instructors to tailor the session to your specific goals and learning pace.

    * To take advantage of our discounted rentals with lessons promo, you must pay for your rentals at the Snow School  Desk when paying for your lesson.

    Note: Snowboard lessons for little ones may be limited to size and availability of equipment, which cannot be guaranteed (smallest boots size 1 junior / board 90cm)

    What to Expect

    • All lesson participants, MUST check in with the SNOW SCHOOL DESK at least 45 minutes prior to lesson time.
    • If you require rentals, you MUST check in at the Snow School Desk BEFORE going to the Rental Shop at least 45 minutes prior to the start of your lesson.
    • Group sizes are based on age range:
      • Junior (6-9 Years): 6 students per instructor
      • Youth & Adult (10+): 8-10 students per instructor
    • Students will be grouped according to age and ability level for a more enjoyable learning experience.
    • Helmets are required for all lesson participants.

    Never skied before. Learning to balance, stop and turn.

    Can stop and turn. Learning to link turns and control speed on green terrain.

    Can side slip on both edges. Learning to control direction and turning.

    I can turn in a wedge both ways on all green terrain.

    I can turn onto both edges and control my speed.

    Ski confidently on green terrain. Improving on blue runs and on different terrain.

    Rides all blue runs confidently. Improving on a variety of riding skills.

    		  

    Cancellation and Refund Policy

    • Lessons are scheduled to run regardless of snow, wind or cold. Participants are expected to be appropriately dressed for conditions of the day.
    • In the event Hidden Valley Ski Resort cancels a lesson, the missed class will be rescheduled later in the season.
    • Lessons are non-refundable.
