Summer Activities

    Biking

    • Mountain biking is allowed on all formal trails but is prohibited on backcountry trails.
    • Please review our safety tips.

    Bird Watching

    • Bird watching is exceptional in the park and wetlands. More than 180 bird species have been observed in the park. Check our bird list.
    • The southeast end of Beauvais Lake is a critical nesting area.  It is closed to all boating from April 1 to July 10 annually.  Bird watchers and other hikers can take Chipman Creek Trail from Scotts Point Parking to the boardwalk. 

    Boating

    • Beauvais Lake is great for canoeing or kayaking or power boating. 
    • There is a 12 km/hour speed limit for power boats.  
    • The boat launch is located near the campground.
    • Please respect any seasonal closures in place.  Some areas are closed seasonally to protect nesting birds, some of which are sensitive bird species.
