The 1,000-hectare natural area in the County of Grande Prairie near Beaverlodge has been reclassified as a PRA and expanded by 311 hectares to support future development as an Alberta Parks destination, and to protect sensitive ecosystems.
Access: Saskatoon Mountain PRA is easily accessible by car. Once the site of a military radar base, it offers magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains.
Birding: Boreal mixedwood forest provides habitat for a variety of flycatchers, warblers and other songbirds.
Camping: Not permitted.
Cross-country skiing: Ungroomed trails
Day Use: Day Use Only
Wildlife Viewing: Species include mule deer, moose, coyote, snowshoe hare.
OHV Use: Restricted to the west side of Range Road 92

Natural Region Description	The highest feature on the landscape west of Grande Prairie, Saskatoon Mountain is an island of foothills forest surrounded by agricultural land. The site features a 70-metre-high hill with both steep and gradual slopes. Diverse forests of aspen, balsam poplar, white spruce and birch are interspersed with wetlands and small sloughs.
