Effective Date: October 15, 2025 - Until Further Notice
Where: Ribbon Lake Backcountry Campground , Spray Valley PP
Details: Due to a recent forest health assessment, Ribbon Lake Backcountry Campground will be closing on October 20 for the season. Crews will be in the area removing trees that are past their end-of-life. The campground will reopen for the 2026 season and visitors may notice a difference in forest density at the campground.

Hiker-Cyclist Camping:
Hiker-cyclists are recreationists who under their own power and without the support of a motorized vehicle, travel through Kananaskis region.
Hiker-cyclist camping is available at this site. The purpose of these sites is to provide minimal facilities for safe overnight stay. Facilities include food lockers, a self-registration kiosk and washroom. Plan to camp at the regular Kananaskis Campgrounds for extended stays.
The hiker-cyclist camping season at this day use area is from June 1 to September 20.
All other overnight camping at the Buller Mountain day use area is not permitted.
