Spray Lake Provincial Park within Kananaskis Country borders the eastern edge of Banff National Park and surrounds the stunning Spray Lakes Reservoir. The area is particularly important for the grizzly bears that move in and out of the national park. The park is accessible via the Bighorn Highway 40 and from Spray Lakes Highway 742. It is a destination for many outdoor pursuits. In summer, the park offers plenty of hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing opportunities. In winter, the area is a beautiful place for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing and fishing. The park is open to campers year-round.
