Natural Region Description

Fickle Lake Provincial Recreation Area supports mixedwood forests of lodgepole pine, aspen poplar and white spruce. The area contains valuable riparian habitat that provides important nesting sites for bald eagles and osprey; loons, horned and red-necked grebes. A variety of ducks are found in the area as well. The area also provides habitat for bear, moose, deer, muskrat and beaver.
