Explore the fascinating features that help Alberta’s plants and animals thrive in diverse environments. In this hands-on program, students investigate the external structures and special adaptations of local species, while discovering the vital role water plays in their lives.

Students will:

  • Dress up as mystery life forms to learn about unique adaptations
  • Match specialized body parts to the correct plant or animal
  • Pond dip in a wetland to observe aquatic life up close
  • Draw and reflect on the specialized adaptations of their favorite animals
