Wetland Ecology

    Students are introduced to basic wetland ecology through a series of hands-on activities. They will get to explore a wetland ecosystem and examine aquatic invertebrates first hand.

    Students will:

    • Identify the 5 types of wetlands
    • Understand wetland functions and why they are important ecosystems
    • Examine a wetland and identify varies characteristics
    • Explore the natural landscape to identify the flora and fauna in the environment
    • Dip for aquatic invertebrate and identify species
