Nature Discovery

Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself at the Canadian Red Cross.

    Become a nature explorer yourself as you utilize the activities and equipment in this bin to guide participants on an exciting fieldtrip. Students will get to explore natural landscapes and discover how these places are homes to a variety of plants and animals. Having the ability to use all four senses (Excluding taste), students will get to enjoy scavenger hunts and outdoor activities.

    Students will:

    • Discuss how their senses help them become better nature detectives
    • Go on a scavenger hunt to utilize all four senses
    • Explore their surroundings while matching colour pallets to things nature
    • Discover a variety of animal home by matching animals to their proper home
    • Search through the natural landscapes and use the equipment provided to discover things in nature
