Can you identify a constellation? Have you ever seen a shooting star? Camping provides a great opportunity to view the stars and other astronomical events. Rent an Astronomy Discovery Pack and explore the night skies at your own pace. Each backpack includes astronomy binoculars, field guides to the sky, story books, and an activity book. You get to keep the activity book, moon phase guide, and star finder when you return the Discovery Pack!

NOTE: Due to the long days of summer, your children will get the most out of this Discovery Pack if you are willing to wake them up when it's dark out for an extra special camping experience.

Age recommendations are based on the complexity of the included Activity Books. We strive to include topical story books and non-fiction books that may be suitable for other age ranges for families with several children. Each pack includes activity books for one person; you can request more activity books from the booth staff at time of rental if you need more.
