Marten River Campground has 110 powered sites. Sites are well-spaced and surrounded by trees, located a short walk from the lake shore and beach. Loops A and B are better suited for RVs, while Loops C and D have smaller sites better suited for tents. There are pit toilets in the campground loops, and the shower building offers flush toilets as well as coin-operated showers and a laundromat. Fire pits are provided.
The campground booth sells ice, firewood, hard ice cream, snacks, drinks, and camping necessities. The nearest town, Slave Lake, is a 30-minute drive away and offers a full range of supplies and services. The nearest boat launch is the Slave Lake Municipal Boat Launch, located 30 km’s south of the campground via highway 88.
You can access the Freighter Lakeshore Trail (part of the Trans-Canada Trail network) from this location.
