This unique spot is found 30 km northeast of Grande Prairie on Hwy 43. 

The Kleskun Hills rise 100 metres above the plains surrounding Grande Prairie. This site contains the most extensive and diverse areas of native prairie remaining in the Peace region. The layers of clay, sandstone and coal exposed here, in Alberta’s northernmost badlands, date back to the age of the dinosaurs.

Explore the surrounding walking trails and look out for cactus!

Natural Region Description
