William A. Switzer Provincial Park is the perfect location for environmental education and interpretation programs. Programs are offered in every season, connecting with diverse audiences and interests.
School programs commonly reach students from Hinton, Edson and Grande Cache. Some school field trips visit from as far away as Whitecourt and Edmonton. School programs are designed to supplement the curriculum set by Alberta Education but they can also enhance the park experience for any organized group.

In July and August, hundreds of visitors from across Canada and around the world take part in interpretive programs on various natural history themes. These programs are first come-first served and are free of charge. Programs for visitors include interpretative shows, guided hikes and family activity packs.
