Where: CN Station Building Day Use , Vermilion Provincial Park

Details: Due to damages caused by summer rain storms and leakage, the CN Station will remain closed to the public until the building can be repaired and declared safe for public use. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Effective Date: September 10, 2025 - Until Further Notice

Where: Information & Facilities , Lakeside Trail , Lower Reservoir Day Use , Saskatoon Trail , Vermilion Campground , Vermilion 1 Group Use , Vermilion 2 Group Use , Vermilion 3 Group Use

Details: Snow fencing has been put up along Saskatoon Trail to help ensure users do not go on eroded areas. Please do not cross the snow fence. Trail access is not affected at this time. Location: Approximately 600 m from Lower Day Use Area trailhead, before merging with Lakeside Trail

Effective Date: June 25, 2026 - Until Further Notice

Where: Vermilion Provincial Park

Details: A short connector trail between Saskatoon Trail and Fescue Trail is temporary closed due to wet conditions on the clay hill. Please use alternate routes. 

Effective Date: October 1, 2026 - Until Further Notice

Where: Vermilion Provincial Park

Details: Starting October 2026, crews will be conducting FireSmart activities to reduce wildfire risk where residential areas border Vermilion Provincial Park. Work will include clearing dead vegetation, thinning understory vegetation, and pruning and mulching within the area shown on the attached map, north of 51 Avenue and east of Park Drive. All work will take place within park boundaries. Park visitors and nearby residents may notice increased noise and activity during regular business hours. For your safety, please maintain a safe distance from crews and equipment and avoid active work areas. Thank you for your cooperation.

Where: Vermilion Campground , Vermilion Provincial Park

Details: The shower house building will be shut down October 5, or earlier if the temperatures dip below freezing. The flush toilets and water facilities will begin shutting down in mid-September onwards. Please bring your own water.
