Natural Region Description | This park preserves three small lakes and the wetlands and upland areas that surround them. Most of the wetlands have thick organic soils and are treed with black spruce and larch. Small areas of well-drained upland support mixedwood forests of aspen, lodgepole pine and white spruce. Trumpeter swans nest on Sucker Lake, which is just east of the park; it is believed that as their populations increase, the swans will begin to nest in the park. |
