Central Staging is one of three staging areas for those wishing to explore Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Wildland Provincial Park. Step out of your vehicle and breathe in the smell of this 170-year-old old-growth mixed wood forest.

This staging area features an outhouse and hitching rails for equestrians. Access is via a 100 metre sand road with a turnout at the end. Visitors can park along the shoulder. Central Staging features the northern access point for the majority of the trails. Trails begin at the turnout. View the trail map here.

In the winter, this road is not maintained. There is one designated snowmobile trail for snowmobilers traveling through the area.
